Storm Damage Cleanup
Natural disasters happen, and sometimes without a warning. Living in New Orleans, you know that recovering from storm damages caused by natural disasters can be quite the process and leave many people and properties damaged. Referencing back to August of 2005, New Orleans experienced a great tragedy when Hurricane Katrina hit the Crescent City. Many of New Orleans’ major roads were damaged and several of our buildings had taken a significant hit as well. There were many concerns present during this time, especially concerns of health problems for those who did not evacuate the city in time. One of those concerns was that an outbreak of hepatitis A, cholera and tuberculosis would appear as a result of prolonged flooding. This is just an example of how exposure to flood damage and other storm damages can impact the health of New Orleans’ community and its occupants.
